Contacting the GuitarNut: This website receives between 50,000 and 80,000 hits a month. As you can
imagine, I was thoroughly inundated by e-mail, including tons of SPAM, when I had an e-mail link here on the page. So, all e-mail
to the guitarnuts.com domain now gets sent straight to ye olde bit bucket.
I am always happy to hear from real people with worthwhile comments and questions, of course, so this form will allow
you to contact me. However, please keep in mind that I'm basically one guy with a job, a family, and a life - running a website
that gets an outrageous amount of traffic. As such, I can't answer every e-mail, or even every question, that I receive.
I try to answer as much as I can, but even if I am able to answer your e-mail that may sometimes take days, even weeks, especially when
things get crazy at work.
One way to almost assure that you won't get an answer is to go straight to this contact page and ask a question that
is clearly answered in the existing pages on the site. You would not believe the number of people who can't be bothered to actually read
the articles here, they just want me to tell them how to wire a humbucker split switch, or what have you. I tried to do that a few
years ago and I was spending two to three hours every night answering that kind of e-mail. Life is too short to spend it
doing that!
So, while I'd love to hear from you, and will even try to answer questions when possible, please do not be offended
if you do not get a personal response to your comment or question or it takes me an unseemly amount of time to get back to you.
The last few months have been even crazier than usual. I am probably answering less than
10% of my messages right now because I simply haven't time for more. Also, the way I'm answering probably seems kind
of capricious - it's basically a lottery - if your message happens to arrive and be near the top of my inbox when I have a spare hour
or two then you hit the jackpot and get an answer. For a while I tried to play "catch up" but I just never caught up and I finally realized
that by trying I was mostly answering mail that was a month or so old so most of the people I was answering had probably already found an
answer to their question elsewhere. Hopefully things will improve after we get through a complete reorganization that is going on at work
(heh, I could end up with lot's of free time to answer e-mail, but let's hope not).
